We consider the NordicTrack C 700 to be a great budget buy. The C 700 Treadmill has one of their lowest prices with NordicTrack’s newly integrated iFit enabled console technology. While there are drawbacks to the C 700, it’s hard to argue with the low price point, which makes it ideal for beginners or those who are making a home gym on a budget.
The NordicTrack C 700 has a wider but shorter belt than some of their earlier models of the C 700 at 22” by 55” and a slightly smaller incline. This treadmill is built for more of a casual jogger and walker than a fitness enthusiast who is training for marathons and wanting to put on a few miles a day on their treadmill. This treadmill also features FlexSelect cushioning, but it’s adjustable. With a few quick adjustments, you can turn this cushioning off, and get a more authentic feel beneath your feet, if you’re someone who wants to feel like they’re training on the road.
The iFit console technology of the C 700 can be accessed with your own tablet or smartphone, you don’t necessarily have to use a special monitor console in order to use this technology. There are customized iFit workouts and over 20 built-in apps that will automatically adjust the settings of the treadmill, such as the incline, when you select your workout, so you don’t have to tweak the settings before your workout begins. Speakers and a MP3 port are also included in the console of the C 700 model.
We love that the NordicTrack C 700 has an incredible 2.75 HP DurX motor, which is sold with a 25 year warranty. Despite being light and portable, and the fact that it can be folded down, the C 700 can still hold up to 300 pounds, making it a great option for most runners.
